What is Spicy Fish Curry?

This is a traditional Spicy fish curry in Sri Lanka. we use many spices in making this type of curry. Asian people are very fond of spicy food. Ingredients for making Spicy Fish Curry.

  • 250 g Fish
  • 5 tbsp Onion
  • 1 tbsp Green Chili
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 3 tbsp Roasted Curry Powder
  • 1 tbsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Garlic
  • 1/2 tbsp Goraka (Garcinia cambogia )
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp Aba (Mustard Seed)
  • Rampe leaves (Pandanusamaryllifolius )
  • 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
  • Water

Let’s see how to make it step by step.

  • Clean fish, Chili Powder 2teaspoon, Roasted Curry Powder 2 teaspoons, Salt, Goraka (Garcinia cambogia )1/4 teaspoon. chop Ginger & Garlic add to bowl and mix it well to keep for 30 minutes to season.
  • Chili Powder 2 teaspoons, Roasted Curry Powder 2 teaspoons, Curry Powder 1 1/2 teaspoons, Pepper Powder 11/2 roasted until brown color 3-4 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium-high heat. add 1/4 Aba (Mustard Seed), Cinnamon, Ginger garlic paste, Onion, and Green Chili, and mix it well. add Curry Leaves and Rampe leaves(Pandanus amaryllifolius ), Roasted spice mixture. add seasoned fish to the pan. add water to mix it well. keep for 15 minutes. add salt to taste.
