This Chinese Braced Beef Stew is a famous yet very homey Cantonese dish, perfect over rice with a side of stir-fried greens

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Beef cut into pieces
  • 100 g Chopped onion leaves
  • 1 Chopped Onion Big Onion
  • 3 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 Chopped Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • ½ l Beef Stock
  • 2 Carrots Cut into pieces
  • 1 Potato Cut into pieces
  • 2 Bay leaf
  • Olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Put a little olive oil in the pan and fry the beef.
  • Once the beef is well steamed in the oil, remove it from the heat.
  • Put the chopped onion and onion leaves in the same pan.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Add beef, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and flour and mix well.
  • Add some beef stock to this. Add the bay leaves. Add chopped carrots and potatoes and cook on low heat for about an hour.
