Chinese food

Let’s learn about amazing Chinese food

Chinese food is a separate art in the food world.

There is a general rumor that there are more Chinese food stalls in our country than in China. The story is true. But the question is to what extent the food in these shops is similar to Chinese food. Today we are going to tell you about the nature of Chinese food.

The healthiest meal

Chinese food is considered one of the healthiest foods in the world. Having said that, you may be wondering what this is all about. Because when I say ‘Chinese’, to some it may seem like a lot, but it’s really not. But the Chinese do not eat like this. They add more vegetables, herbs, meat, and fish to their diet. In fact, they are more likely to be eaten than rice.

The cooking methods are different

Although the Chinese often eat the same food, the food is prepared in different ways and added to the table every day. For example, in our country chicken is often eaten fried or cooked. But the Chinese make this chicken in many different ways. Boiled, half-boiled, add soy sauce, sweetened, minced chicken, and so on. As a result, there is a rumor that you will not be able to eat the same meal twice in China.

Traditions of cooking

In our country, we do not see much difference between food from the north to the south. But in China the situation is different. One reason is that the country is getting bigger. Currently, researchers have identified eight food traditions in China. Even though there are still Chinese shops in Sri Lanka, today, following these traditions, food stalls such as Sichuan and Canton are being set up in foreign countries. This is because the way the food is prepared varies from region to region in China as well as the taste.

North-South division

In colder climates, people in northern China often add dumplings, steamed baked goods, and noodles. People in southern China, where the weather is hot, use rice as their staple food. They also use different types of rice to make noodles. But the consumption of wheat flour is very low among them.

No cheese butter

In Chinese food stalls in Sri Lanka, consumers have the opportunity to add cheese to their food. But that is not happening in China. In traditional Chinese cuisine, cheese and butter are not added. However, following the current Western food tradition, cheese is rarely added to certain dishes, but it is rarely done.

Chopsticks

The Chinese use chopsticks when eating. Chinese people consider eating Chinese food with forks and spoons to be obscene. However, due to the use of chopsticks, cutting the meat served is not an easy task. But the answer lies in the Chinese food tradition. That’s because they recommend chopping meat and fish into small pieces that can be caught on chopsticks.

Eat with eyes

The Chinese pay close attention to the cooking as well as the presentation. There, they try their best to create a pleasing look for the consumer by using a variety of additional vegetables and fruits. This is because they believe that it is the person’s eye that first taste the food.

This is a list of Chinese foods that we have provided.
